HOW TO IMPORT AND EXPORT SUGGESTED CONTACTS IN OUTLOOK 2010

Suggested contacts is a new feature that creates contacts for addresses you send mail to when the address is not already in your address books.

Suggested Contacts are synchronized to the Exchanged Server, so whenever a user uses outlook 2007 or 2010 it auto populates in the new profile.

In an event the Suggest Contacts does not populate automatically, you can manually export and import the contacts

Option 1 : ( Export and Import )

1. Go to File | Open | Import ( For Export )

2. Select Export to a File and hit next

3. Select Outlook Data File (.pst)

4. Select Suggested Contacts

5. Specify the path, and select the appropriate option

6. Go to File | Open | Import ( For Import )

7. Select “ Import from another program or file “

8. Select Outlook Data File (.pst)

9. Specify the path, and select the appropriate option

10. Select the suggested contacts for import into current folder

11. Or Select “import Items into the same folder in” to specify which account the suggested contacts should be imported to

Option 2 :  ( Manual File Copy )

1. Go to “C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache” and backup all the             Stream_Autocomplete files

2. Restore the Stream_Autocomplete to “C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache” on the target machine
